Iridium #33
After reading about the collision of Iridium Satellite #33 and the Russian Cosmos rocket 2251 in space yesterday I went through my old log books to see if I had ever observed Iridium #33.
I seemed to remember #33 for some reason, but was not sure why the thought was just stuck in my head that I had. After going back a “few” years, I found the posted entry above in my astronomy journal.
Iridium #33 was my first daytime observation of a flaring satellite pass. The observation was made from my home (at the time) in San Antonio, Texas.
