I’ve been on the road for a week, San Francisco for some relaxing and then Texas for a speaking engagement and also some astronomy so I’ll post some pix soon of all the traveling.
Check back soon and thanks to everyone that has e-mailed me privately to see if everything is alright.
It is! It’s great actually!
ROSAT is going to decay and fall back to Earth this weekend. I photographed the pass above Friday night at 6:32 PM.
It’s faint in the image above, but look above the tree line for the streak left behind by the failing satellite.
Check Heavens above .com to see if you have any visible passes before it’s too late. Tonight’s pass was my last chance to see it.
The Chinese Space Station made a nice and fairly bright pass this morning at 6:23 AM.
It flew through Orion, which is one of my favorite constellations!
It’s been a while since I’ve posted anything here, but I’ve been busy lately.
Our car was wrecked at the end of August, totaled I should say by someone that rear-ended us while we were waiting to turn into the driveway.
The lady that hit us was on her cell-phone…I could get on a soapbox about that, but instead I’ll just remind everyone that reads this to please not use a phone while driving! You could hurt someone or yourself. It’s not worth the risk.
We’re fine, but had to replace the car, so I’ve not really been in a posting frame of mind.
But that’s going to change as I have some projects and some traveling coming up in the next month or so, so should have some new work to share. Especially some new photo stuff, which always makes me happy to share and I hope it makes you happy to see.
Just hang in there with me. This cooler weather has really sparked my creative thoughts!
In the meantime, enjoy Fall!
