Just after sunset the balloon was still high and in the south. It’s 100,000 feet high, and about 50 miles south of where I am.

This one is above Fort Sumner, where it launched a few hours ago.
Lumix GF1 held up to the eyepiece of an 80mm refractor.
It was still pretty low from my viewpoint in Tijeras, NM. I had to dodge some trees to get this photo.

This from Friday night….I love it when comets swoosh past a neat asterism like this!
