Wow. STS-131 Commander Alan Poindexter captured this image with a Nikon D3S the day after undocking from the ISS, showing the Milky Way out the PLTs window.

It was worth braving the 25 degree temperature this morning to watch this very nice pass of ISS and Discovery through Cygnus.
East is down in the image above. NOTE*** I’m going to replace this image later today after I determine why I can’t see it here on the blog like it actually is from the camera. Odd, they usually load perfectly….glitches and gremlins I reckon!
