The Moon was bright and illuminated most of the parking lot until after midnight, but the stars were out and shining brightly too.
Jupiter was gorgeous, and the Red Spot was visible as was a transitingJovian moon shadow. Plus, I saw the asteroid Juno!
The sky was a kinda funky purple, magenta color in this long exposure–but I’m guessing the smoke cloud drifting in from the west had a lot to do with that. Also, sky glow from Albuquerque to the north and behind the observatory added to the blend of colors here.
